Statistics of use of the information system of geological collections covers only some of the web interfaces as yet. Also more than 95% of data stored in that information system is publicly accessible through interfaces which do not require registration of use. According to the statistics of use of the main public interface geokogud.info, during 2011-2012 more than 30 000 visits were recorded, around 50% of which were from Estonia. Use of the portal of fossil taxa the analogue of eBiodiversity focused on extinct taxa) has been monitored more closely since autumn 2013.
